Reality And Normailty: A Tale Of Two Store Clerks

Hi Everyone,

Today I was shopping with my dad for my mom's birthday. And we went to two different stores. One of the stores was a jewellery store and the other store was a very nice home decorating store.  And at the moment we didn't really have a lot to spend on a gift. So anyway, at each store we met store clerks, ladies who could help us. So the lady at the jewellery store was like really sophisticated, like snobby even though she didn't realise that she was being snobby. Ad she was asking all of these questions about whether my mom wore white or yellow gold, implying that to get something nice we should spend a fortune and that kind of scared my dad off getting anything and he backed away out of the shop. And the other lady at the other store was very friendly and seemed to think that getting a nice blanket was a great gift. So which one was more normal? How do most people live out there? Who would you have bought from?
